LSS Bake Off Competition
The theme for this years’ Bake Off was a celebration of Dr Kent’s 20th anniversary as Head at Lawrence Sheriff.
17 students from year 7, 8 and 9 over 2 days of finals took part to create a cake of their own design to reflect the theme.
Everyone who took part demonstrated great skills and knowledge to create 17 extremely high quality looking and tasting masterpieces!
The standards this year were a marked improvement on the previous 2 years with many of the finalists returning for a second and in some cases third year of competition.
Competition was fierce and standards extremely high – a lot of practice had obviously taken place beforehand!
This year proved an even more difficult task for our judges with very few marks separating the whole field, but there can only be one winner, and many congratulations must go to Frederick Stephens for retaining his Bake Off title with a cake featuring a marzipan model of Dr Kent holding the school assembly.
Although Frederick took the first place, he was pushed all the way by Ralf Callaway who took second place, with Adam Marlow coming a very respectable third.
